4 edition of International Albinism Awareness Day normaly held on 13 June which is a day the United Nation Human Rights Council adopted the 13 June as International Awareness Albinsim Day. Indeed, it is the first time on 13 June 2013 that the United National Human Rights Council adopted the first resolution on Albinsim and requested all states to promote, protect and advocate for the right of persons with albinism and recognition of albinism as a disability under the United Nation Convention on the Rights of Persons with Albinism CRDP.
Late last year, the United Nations' General Assembly adopted a resolution establishing June 13th as International Albinism Awareness Day. This historic resolution confirms the global focus on albinism advocacy.
